Mumm Napa Brut Rosé

by Nannette Eaton on May 31, 2009

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”  —  Shakespeare

Wine Harlots cannot get enough of this California blush sparkler! Mumm Napa Brut Rosé is a delicious sophisticated sparkling wine.  The color is compelling, a pinky-blush-salmon color. Wild strawberry tartness. You’ll want to buy a couple of bottles, ’cause we can guarantee one bottle will not be enough.

I paired this beauty with penne with roasted asparagus, red and gold peppers in a garlic cream sauce. The winery suggests paring this with hors d’oeuvres like caviar or duck paté.

Alcohol content 12.5%. The wine is a blend of 85% pinot noir, 15% chardonnay from Napa. The suggested retail is $24 USD.  This wine was a sample, kindly provided by the Mumm Napa.

The music selection is “Kiss from a Rose” from Seal from the album Seal [1994].  Cheers!
