It’s a great plumy color with lovely legs.  The nose is pleasant with a candied cherry smell.  And then it goes downhill from there.  There isn’t much flavor, and it has an odd tanginess.  The finish is thankfully brief.  I didn’t enjoy tasting this without food.  But with food, the wine was better.  I paired this with a couple of fantastic carne asada tacos from Rico’s Taco Shop in Encinitas, California.

o you expect for $3, really?); but if you have more coin to spend, I’d give this a wide-berth, it’s not the bargain gem I was hoping for.
