Keyways Syrah 2007

by Nannette Eaton on August 17, 2009

Keyways Syrah 2007We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”  —  Sir Winston Churchill

This is a big rustic, earthy wine, with lush flavors of blackberries and red currents.  The tannins are very pronounced, and this wine can (and probably should) be cellared for a couple of years.  The perfect pairing for this would be hardy dish with sausages, Jambalaya would be delicious with the Keyways Syrah.

The details:  14.5% alcohol.  Cork closure.  The syrah was sourced and created in the Temecula Valley.  The price is $35 USD a bottle, available from Keyways.  You can score a 15% case discount or a 30% discount if you’re a member of the wine club.  This was a wine sample kindly provided by the winery.

The music match is “You Found Me” by The Fray from their eponymous album.
