Quivira Grenache 2007

The Quivira Grenache 2007 was a delicious wine that the Wine Harlots had a hard time describing, but no problems at all drinking.  It is a stunning clear ruby color.  The wine is juicy and well-integrated and the best of the notes was “Yum.”  Well, actually, it was “Yum” followed by a raised hand, a nod of pleasure and Mama Wine summing it up as “Yum plus four.”  So much for articulate Wine Harlots.  I checked Quivira’s website, and their tasting notes are as ephemeral as the Wine Harlots.  I guess you’ll have to taste for yourself.  Try it, you like it.  We suggest pairing this with Ratatouille and a crusty baguette.

Quivira Grenache 2007The details:  14.9%.  Cork closure.  This is a Demeter Certified Biodynamic wine, a 100% grenache from the Dry Creek Valley, California.
