Vina Robles Red4 2007

by Nannette Eaton on January 28, 2010

“The whole is more than the sum of its parts.”  —  Aristotle

Vina Robles Red4 is a tasty quaff, truly the whole is better than its parts.  The wine is an appealing garnet color with lush flavors of bing cherries, blackberries and cassis, with a supple backbone of toast and vanilla.  It’s a great wine to drink on its own, or if you need comfort food, pair it with mom’s meatloaf.

The details: 14.5% alcohol.  Stelvin screw-top closure.  A blend of 51% petite sirah, 43% syrah, 4% tannat, 3% touriga from Paso Robles.  The retail is $16 USD available at the Vina Robles tasting room or through the website.  This was a media sample generously provided by the winery.

The music match is “Better” by Regina Spektor from the album Begin To Hope. Drink a bottle and be better.
