Vina Robles Sauvignon Blanc 2008

by Nannette Eaton on March 3, 2010

“Ever tried, ever failed, no matter.  Try again.  Fail again.  Fail better.”  — Samuel Beckett

Spring is a time for new beginnings.  To start anew.  To begin again.  Sauvignon Blanc is the wine of spring.  And thus, new beginnings.  Begin with the Vina Robles Jardine Sauvignon Blanc.  It has an alluring floral nose, with apricot and tropical fruit with a crisp, refreshing finish.  The perfect pairing is Vegetarian Spring Rolls.

The details: 14.3% alcohol.  Screw-cap closure.  Appellation: Paso Robles.  The suggested retail for the Vina Robles Sauvignon is $16 USD, but if you’re a savvy shopper you can score it at KL Wines for $8 USD.  This was a media sample generously provided by Vina Robles.

The music match is an all-time Wine Harlot favorite, the sublime “Start Again” by Duncan Sheik from the album Daylight, and the songwriter’s track, Gerry Leonard’s (aka Spooky Ghost) from the album The Light MachineSave yourself don’t save me.  Save the one you may be.  Let it be the best that it could be.  Start again.
