“Through literacy you can begin to see the universe.  Through music you can reach anybody.  Between the two there is you, unstoppable.”   —  Grace Slick

If you can read this, we need your help for those who cannot.  Reading is very near and dear to the Wine Harlots, and we invite you to help those who struggle with literacy.  This Wednesday, April 28th the San Diego Council on Literacy is hosting the inaugural event eat. drink. read. where noted chefs and authors are joining forces for a delicious event designed to raise awareness and funds for the battle for literacy.  eat. drink. read. is being held at Sushi, A Center for the Urban Arts.  There will be wine and beer pairings with delicious food prepared by Chefs Bernard Guillas & Ron Oliver  from The Marine Room, Chef Matt Gordon from Urban Solace, Chef Paul Somerset from Ono Sushi, Chef Anthony Calamari  from Suite & Tender and Chef Cesar Castillo from Cafe Sevilla.  Wine Harlots will be pouring at this event, as will the dynamic Megan Duma from Wine for Blondes.  Join us on Wednesday to eat. drink. read. A delicious way to help.

I live in the Silicon Valley area, and unfortunately cannot make it. Please email me if this event is planning on coming this way, or if I can help put one together in the Bay Area.
