Quivira Fig Tree Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2009

by Nannette Eaton on April 25, 2010

“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients.”  — Julia Child

This is a terrifc wine for a casual spring supper.  Crisp, bright and citrusy.  The perfect pairing is the Chubby Vegetarian’s Market Day Pea Tendril & Nasturtium Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette.

The details: 14.1% alcohol.  Cork closure.  Appellation: Dry Creek Valley, from the Fig Tree Vineyard in Sonoma.  The wine is Demeter Certified Biodynamic®.   The suggested retail is $18 USD and can be purchased directly from the Quivira website.  This was a media sample generously facilitaed by Folsom & Associates.

The music match is “I Don’t Know” from Lisa Hannigan from the album Sea Sew. Wine Harlots don’t know much, but we do know talented musicians, good food and great wine.
