Valentin Bianchi New Age

“Young people are in a condition like permanent intoxication, because youth is sweet and they are growing.”  — Aristotle

Open a bottle of New Age, and you open a bottle of fun.  It’s a sweet, slightly effervescent wine, in either a white or a rosé.  Great for when you’re in the mood for easy, casual drinking.  There are suggestions for New Age Cocktails; we liked the New Age Bellini with peach and raspberry puree.  The perfect pairing is a Pavlova to balance the sweetness of the wine.

The details:  New Age White: 10.6% alcohol.  Varietal: 50% sauvignon blanc, 50% malvasia.  Residual sugar: 53.69g/l.  New Age Rosé: 11% alcohol.  Varietal 50% malbec, 50% merlot.  Residual sugar: 47.98g/l.  Appellation: San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina.  Producer:  Valentin Bianchi.  The suggested retail is $10 USD, but on special you can score it for just over $7.  The wine is distributed by Quintessential.  This was a media sample generously provided by Quintessential.

The music match is “Sweet Talk, Sweet Talk” by the New Pornographers from the album Together. Open a bottle of New Age, a little sweet talk and you’ll be be in a condition of permanent intoxication.  And that’s not a bad state to be in.
