Passaggio New Generation Pinot Grigio 2009

by Nannette Eaton on July 6, 2010

“I hate straight singing. I have to change a tune to my own way of doing it. That’s all I know.”  —  Billie Holiday

“For a person as obsessed with music as I am, I always hear a song in the back of my head, all the time, and that usually is my own tune. I’ve done that all my life.”  —  Bjork

Passaggio New Generation Pinot Grigio 2009 is a wine for anyone who sings your own tune and dances to the beat of your own drum.  Winemaker, Cynthia Cosco, masterfully blends pinot grigio to create a harmonious and refreshing quaff.  The wine is a pale straw with fresh notes of lemon, lime and grapefruit with a melodious minerality and a sotto voce of green apple.  The perfect pairing is Scallops & Angel Hair in Lemon Butter on a Bed of Baby Greens.

The details: 13.4% alcohol.  Zork™ closure.  Appellation:  California.  The cost is $14 USD and is available directly from Passaggio.  This was a media sample generously provided by the winery.

The music match is “Out of Tune” by Sarah McLachlan from the new album Laws of Illusion. Whether you have perfect pitch or sing out of tune, open a bottle of Passaggio and you’ll be loudly singing Passaggio’s praises.
