Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2004

by Nannette Eaton on February 26, 2011

“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”  —  Aldous Huxley

And after music, wine is a close second in expressing the inexpressible, and opening a bottle of Champagne speaks volumes, so you don’t have to. We suggest Nicolas Feuillatte Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs 2004. The color is a pale green-gold, with pin-point bubbles and subtle flavors of kaffir lime and pear with mineral notes.  The perfect pairing is Crab Puffs.

The details:  12% alcohol.  Varietal: chardonnay.  Appellation: Champagne.  The actual retail ranges from $38-50 USD.  This was a media sample kindly facilitated by Millissime.

The music match is “Silence” by Delerium from the soundtrack Bounce.  If the silence is deafening, crack open a bottle of Nicolas Feuillette and let the Champagne do the talking.
