The Chrysalis Vineyards Viognier 2010 is a dreamy bottle of wine. The aromas are hypnotic and alluring — a blend of apricots, melon, orange blossoms, peaches and honey. The flavors are apple and citrus with wet stone. Gorgeous! There aren’t enough superlatives to describe this wine. The perfect pairing is Shrimp Ravioli with Spinach & Ginger. The music match is “Flowers” by Nikka Costa from the album Butterly Rocket.

The details: 14.5% alcohol. Cork closure. Appellation:Virginia. Varietal: viognier. The suggested retail is $29 USD and available directly from Chrysalis. This was a media sample provided for the Summer Wines of Virginia Taste & Tweet.
