Le Dix de Los Vascos 2009

“Accept what life offers you and try to drink from every cup. All wines should be tasted; some should only be sipped, but with others, drink the whole bottle.” ― Paulo Coelho

Los Vascos Le Dix

If you’re offered Le Dix de Los Vascos drink the whole bottle and buy a whole case. Los Vascos is the Chilean property of the esteemed Bordeaux chateau of Domaines Barons de Rothschild, and Le Dix is the top-tier of their Chilean offerings. The price of the Le Dix de Los Vascos isn’t inexpensive, but value you receive is extraordinary. To get the best taste profile you should aerate or decant to wine for an hour or two before drinking, but even pouring straight from the bottle the Le Dix is delicious. The wine is beautifully integrated with no sharp edges or dominating flavors – just lush texture wrapped around dense flavors of black fruit and berries with vanilla notes and firm tannins. The perfect pairing for Le Dix is red meat. Grilled beef steaks or lamb is ideal for this cabernet. The suggested music match is “Rest of My Life” from Unwritten Law from the acoustic album Music in High Places.
