Borra Vineyards Intuition 2012

by Nannette Eaton on August 21, 2013

“This time I would choose to err on the side of illogic. I had to trust intuition, and plunge as I had never plunged before, with blind faith.” ― Dean Koontz

Wine Harlots have a hunch you’ll enjoy Intuition. Borra Vineyards Intuition, that is. It’s a white blend of the unusual kerner grape as well as riesling and gewürztraminer to create a medium textured wine that has good acidity but with a rich mouthfeel, with flavors of pear and apricot. We don’t claim to have synesthesia, but this what Borra Vineyards Intuition tastes like to Wine Harlots:

The details: 13.3% alcohol. Cork closure. Appellation: Lodi. Grapes: kerner 60%, riesling 20%, gewürztraminer 20%. Suggested retail: $22 USD available directly from Borra Vineyards. The wine was provided gratis as a media sample for the Lodi Wines Summer Whites event.
