If you happen to see a bottle with a Zork™ closure, don’t pass up the wine, make a pass for it. Wine Harlots love new technology that works. And this works brillantly. It’s a plastic closure with a peel off band that even a Wine Harlot can open with ease. Zork has several cheeky videos that show the ease of use and the advantages over the traditional cork closure. And the tag line of “Easier to Get Off” speaks to the Harlots. Click on the photo see the cautionary tale that the Zork prevents.
Don’t Afraid of the Zork!

I make picture frames out of wine corks (the oak bark kind), so a little saddened to see “real” corks getting more rare. I understand wine taint and the reducing source of cork producing trees. Recently Iv’e become concerned with plastic corks, wine closures have showed up with a #3 recycle (PVA) and a #7 (BPA). Both of these plastics leach toxins that are even more solvent in alcohol. What is the base of Zorks ?
Zork closures are made from food grade, FDA approved low density polyethelyne. The materials have been tested extensively to ensure that there is no negative effect on the wine or the consume. Please see the zork website for further details.
Love the Zork!
And I love the clever videos you made.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers to you!

Regarding your Zork closure question, Joey at Zork states, “Zork closures are made from food grade, FDA approved low density polyethelyne. The materials have been tested extensively to ensure that there is no negative effect on the wine or the consumer. Please see the zork website for further details.”
The ease of use is unsurpassed, even easier than a screw-cap, and Wine Harlots just love saying the word, “Zork!.”
To happy drinking!
