Cornerstone Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2009

“Nothing is so beautiful as spring – when weeds, in wheels, shoot long and lovely and lush; Thrush’s eggs look little low heavens, and thrush through the echoing timber does so rinse and wring the ear, it strikes like lightning to hear him sing.”  — Gerard Manley Hopkins

Nothing is as beautiful as the Cornerstone Sauvignon Blanc.  It’s as bright and charming as a spring day, and will quench your thirst and delight your senses on a sultry summer evening el fresco.  The color is pale straw, with flavors of citrus and soft minerals.  The perfect pairing is Pen & Fork’s Chilled Blue Crab Tower with Lemon Creme Fraiche.

The details:  13.9% alcohol.  Cork closure.  Appellation:  Napa Valley.  The price is $25 and is available directly from Cornerstone.  This was a media sample generously provided by the winery.

The music match is the amazing “Awakenings” from Sarah McLachlan’s new album Laws of Illusion.  Awaken your senses to the beauty that is Cornerstone.  Trust us, it’s not an illusion, it’s beautiful reality.

Wow! Thanks, what lovely comments. That’s what I think it tastes like too! The Blue Crab Tower would be perfect. I’ve got to go there and have it.
