wine chair 1024x768 Put a Cork in It! – Part Ten: Sit on ItWine Harlots drink a lot of wine, and have a dilemma.  Not about the wine consumption, but what to do with all the cork closures.  Join us while we find uses for the leftover corks.

Here’s a photo of a chair that Cal Ford saw in a walking tour in old Lyon, France in front of a wine shop in 2002.  I have no idea of how you would construct this, but what a gorgeous functional piece of art.

I downloaded the picture and scrutinized it closely. If some one is interested in making one, have them call me.

PS they will need 2,600 corks, a ball of good cotton twine, a long needle,an 1/8″ drill bit and drill, a simple wooden chair and a weekend! not to difficult! It is a cork chair COVER!!! I do not think any glue was used.
