Wine Harlots drink a lot of wine, and have a dilemma. Not about the wine consumption, but what to do with all the cork closures. Join us while we find uses for the leftover corks.
This has to be the most ambitious wine cork craft project. Covering your walls with wine corks. Not for the faint of heart, for sure. Just splitting all the corks in half is a time consuming project, plus needing to affixing luan to the sheetrock and the applying the corks with wood glue is like Martha Stewart on steroids. That said, I’m obsessed with this one. I want! I want! Check out the cork wine wall at Frankly Wine profiled by Dr. Vino, they are affixed on the short end, instead of on the side, as pictured above. Tremendously cool. The wall is covered 15,000 corks, so I have to go now, I’ve got a LOT of drinking to do!

I love it! I’m now thinking about wainscoting for our dining room when we can finally afford to renovate that set of rooms.

Beautiful wall. Have two questions, how did you split the corks? and how many fingers do you have left?
I Love it!!!!! been saving some of my own corks now gonna hit the local bars and ask for help.
Does anyone know if they actually glued the corks directly to wall? Or did they put something on the wall before gluing the corks? I was thinking about measuring and using heavy-duty plywood and anchoring it to the wall before I attach the corks. I work at a restaurant that goes through an insane amount of wine so I have heavy access to corks and want to do this to the wall in my dining room.
