“A classic is a book that has never finished saying what it has to say.” — Italo Calvino
Allegrini Amarone Classico is a wine that is a classic, and is never finished saying what it has to say, even after the bottle is emptied; the Amarone lingers and haunts your memories forever. The wine rich and delicious, dark cherries with earthy, leathery, chocolate and spice notes. Complex, yet approachable at the same time. Endlessly compelling. Amarone goes well with the cheese course, the perfect pairing would be Parmigiano-Reggiano and Gorgonzola drizzled with alfalfa honey. Foods that are rich and full-flavored pair beautifully with Amarone. The music match is “Bruise on the Sky” by Nellie McKay from the album Home Sweet Mobile Home.
