Bollinger Rosé Champagne NV

“I drink it when I’m happy and when I’m sad.  Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone.  When I have company I consider it obligatory.  I trifle with it if I’m not hungry and drink it when I am.  Otherwise, I never touch it – unless I’m thirsty.”  —  Lily Bollinger

“I’m thirsty!”  —  Wine Harlot

Champagne Bollinger Rose NV imported by Terlato Wines International Bollinger Rosé Champagne NV

The Wine Harlot is often thirsty. Not so often do we get to indulge in Champagne (Lily was so lucky!) but when we do, we go all-out. The Bollinger Rosé Champagne NV is a beautiful bottle to pour, a coppery-gold liquid with tiny bubbles. The flavor is fresh raspberries and those tiny French strawberries with a toasty finish. The perfect pairing is Ben Ford of Ford’s Filling Station’s Lobster BLT paired with Duck Fat French Fries with Rosemary, Maldon Salt, & Truffle Oil. The high/low pairing can’t be beat. The music match is “Champagne Supernova” from Oasis, from the album, What’s the Story, Morning Glory?

The: 12% alcohol. Appellation:Champagne. Varitals: pinot noir 62%, chardonnay 24%, pinot meunier 14%. Suggested retail: $100 USD. Actual retail ranges from about $80-110. Imported by Terlato Wines International. This was a media sample generously provided by Terlato.

The description of that alone was delicious! I’d love to get my hands on a bottle.

It’s worth the time (and money) to procure a bottle.
Class in a glass.
