Wines of France has embarked on a tour of the Midwest promoting the wines of France, starting off in Chicago, with stops in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Dallas and Houston, before rolling the iconic Airstream trailer in to New Orleans on the eve of the Tales of the Cocktail.

A road trip is a quintessentially American experience. It’s encoded in our DNA, the wanderlust and exploration.

Oftentimes, there’s a perception of French wines of being very expensive, and not very approachable to the consumer. While there are wines that command impressive prices, there is a world of French wines that are everyday affordable and delicious, and ready to drink at the time of purchase (instead of needing to be cellared for years before they are ready to drink). And then there is the myth that French wines must be consumed with haute cuisine. Wine Harlots will be exploding that myth with food and wine pairings that are irreverent and fun, while exploring the regional specialties that America offers.

Noël,

I’m so glad you liked it!
I had a blast on the trip, but my plan of posting everyday on the road didn’t quite pan-out as I hoped. I’ll be starting this week recapping the Wines of France Across America events, regional American cuisine paired with French wine, and maybe even a mix-tape! Stay tuned!

All the best,

Nannette
