“Ever tried, ever failed, no matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” — Samuel Beckett
Spring is a time for new beginnings. To start anew. To begin again. Sauvignon Blanc is the wine of spring. And thus, new beginnings. Begin with the Vina Robles Jardine Sauvignon Blanc. It has an alluring floral nose, with apricot and tropical fruit with a crisp, refreshing finish. The perfect pairing is Vegetarian Spring Rolls.
The details: 14.3% alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Appellation: Paso Robles. The suggested retail for the Vina Robles Sauvignon is $16 USD, but if you’re a savvy shopper you can score it at KL Wines for $8 USD. This was a media sample generously provided by Vina Robles.
The music match is an all-time Wine Harlot favorite, the sublime “Start Again” by Duncan Sheik from the album Daylight, and the songwriter’s track, Gerry Leonard’s (aka Spooky Ghost) from the album The Light Machine. Save yourself don’t save me. Save the one you may be. Let it be the best that it could be. Start again.

I hear ‘ya.
Thanks for the recommendation. Hopefully, it will make Spring come faster!
Are you going to tweet about this Sauvignon Blanc tomorrow night on Twitter? Great review, great price!
i wish the spring to come, soon its a great review and a great price and thanks for posting this samuel.
Golly (nervous twist of a foot into the ground) we really like your style. Specifically calling out Sauvi. B as the wine of Spring…yeah, that hits one of our sweet spots. Once spring rolls around you can find us hipsters lounging the beach with some 7-11 to go coffee cups in hand. Those vessels are usually filled with Sauvignon Blanc.
SB is really the go-to wine for warm weather — crisp, bright, refreshing — kinda like Hipster Enology and the Wine Harlots! Cheers to you!
Here, here!
Thank you so much!
I was drinking the St. Supery Dollarhide SB for the tweet-up, but my internet was down, so I was a very sad harlot — but at least I had the St. Supery to comfort me! Cheers to you!
