Lange Twins Generations Pinot Noir 2007

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”  — Leonardo DaVinci

This ain’t your daddy’s pinot noir.  And that’s a good thing.  For under a Jackson (a Hamilton plus a Lincoln, if you want to be precise) you can get a bottle of unpretentious deliciousness.  Lange Twins Generations Pinot Noir is a stunning ruby in the glass, with tart cherry and red berry flavors with a soft tannin structure.  Light, fruity and fresh.  Simple, basic, easy drinking wine.  And since you’re not drinking your papa’s pinot, the perfect pairing is Chipotle Rubbed Salmon Tacos.

The details: 13.2% alcohol.  Screw-cap closure.  Appellation: Clarksburg.  The price is $16 USD with Club Members paying just under $13, available at the tasting room or in the Lange Twins website.  The wine was a media sample generously provided by the winery.

The music match is David Poe’s “Love is Red” from the album of the same name.  Love is red from Lange Twins.
