“Money is like a sixth sense without which you cannot make a complete use of the other five.” — W. Somerset Maugham
You don’t have to be psychic to enjoy 6th Sense Syrah. Nor will you see dead people. (Unless, of course, you drink too much – then all bets are off.) The color is an opaque plum burgundy. The nose is all blackberry sweetness, which continues on the palate with currents, cherries and earthiness; with a vanilla and pepper finish. Perfecting pairing would be Barbecued Beef Ribs.
The details: 15% alcohol. Cork closure. Appellation: Lodi. The grapes are primarily syrah blended with a touch of petite sirah. Suggested retail is $17 USD with wide distribution or available directly through the Lodi Vineyards website. The wine was a media sample generously provided by Wine PRess.
The music match is “Senses Working Overtime” by XTC from the album English Settlement. Wine Harlots say have the good sense to drink 6th Sense.

I tried the 2005 vintage recently, and man, that pepper that barely made an entrance in your bottle completely took over mine with those two extra years of sitting. It was too much for me, though I read your review and think of what could have been . . . also, I quoted you on my blog on this syrah.
