“To be an adult is to be alone.” — Jean Rostand
Some days being the Wine Harlot is like Leaving Las Vegas, but with more alcohol, less levity and a bleaker outlook. Don’t try this at home, it’s best left to the professionals. If you’re lost and alone; your life is up in flames? We have the wine for you The Fumé from Murphy-Goode. It’s crisp, bright and light (everything you in your present state are not) with citrus and tropical notes with refreshing acidity. The Murphy-Goode folks suggest the perfect pairing would be oysters on the half-shell, but today the Wine Harlot might be drinking her meals. I repeat – don’t try this at home.
The details: 13.5% alcohol. Cork closure. Appellation: North Coast. The suggested retail is $12.50 USD, but actual retail runs between $8-12 and is widely available.. This was a media sample kindly provided by the winery.
The music match is Green Day’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” from the album American Idiot. I walk this empty street, On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Where the city sleeps, and I’m the only one and I walk alone. Thank god for wine samples. Just sayin’.

You seem in depressed mood lately. Leaving Las Vegas is one of THE most depressing (well acted) movies I’ve ever seen.
Love GREEN DAY
Cheers! Josh
I’m in a similar mood, actually, so I can relate to your review. Let’s hope spring comes quickly for all of us!
I like this blog, mostly because Green Day rocks!
Thanks! We’ve loooove the Green Day!
Some days it doesn’t make any sense to get out of bed….
Life has been giving me lemons — guess I better start making limoncello!
I got a Green Day CD as a gift, then I realized how much I love ‘em. Rock on!
Green Day rules!
